Per the request of the class I plan to suggest a movie a week. Usually on Thursdays so you have time to locate it for the weekend. This is not going to be one of those must see before you die lists, but rather an attempt to touch across genre's and time periods to try and give you folks a good overall sampling of what movies are. If a movie is of special value to the understanding of film I'll note that and you can start your own list.

I'm also going to intersperse movie rules through out so keep an eye out for those.
